Spa Treatments You Can Do At Home

The spa treatment discussed here are simple methods you can apply at home to pamper and treat your skin. These are simplified ways at the comfort of your home.

Home Method:

Fill a bowl with boiled water and leave to cool slightly so as not hot enough to burn your face.

  • Add a couple of drops of essential oils, such as tea tree oil for acne-prone skin, lavender oil for oily skin or rose absolute oil for dry skin.

  • Steam your face for a few minutes with a towel covering your head to trap the steam.

  • Involve the use of a purifying clay mask or simply some toner and moisturiser.

  • Remove stems from the strawberries and cut

  • Mash the diced strawberries in a small bowl with the banana

  • Add the juice of one lemon, and apply to the face

Cucumber or potato, damp or tea bag


  • Lie back in a well relaxed mood

  • Place the sliced cucumber or potato to cover the eyes for 10-15 minutes

  • 1 avocado, peeled and cut into chunks

  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream

  • 1 tablespoon honey

Mix ingredients thoroughly, Comb mixture through freshly washed hair. You can use a grocery bag to wrap the head and cover with a towel. Wait for 15 minutes, and rinse well.

Alternatively, you can apply a beaten egg to hair, leave for 10 minutes, then rinse off with cool water. This has been known to work wonders.
